Through God’s love we learn together, grow together and achieve together.

During our topic this half-term we are looking at change and how we change throughout our lives. I invite the children to bring in a picture of themselves as a baby or young child for us to all look at and use for our learning. This will need to be in school by Thursday 1st July please. Please feel free to ask me any questions.

Hello, welcome to the last half-term before summer. It feels like it has gone very quick. The children have settled in nicely after the half-term break. We have already had a busy week full of new learning. The children have been learning about carnivores, omnivores and herbivores in science, times and pictograms in maths and in English we have been doing lots of work on the book 'Handa's Hen'. The children have loved acting out the story and dancing to different parts of the story.

This week we celebrated St Albans Day; we had so much fun. We started the day off with a prayer service with the whole school (virtual). The children sat beautifully and joined in well with the prayers. At lunchtime the children had pizza for the school dinner which they all seemed to enjoy. In the afternoon all the Year 1 staff and children played games. We played snakes and ladders, pairs games and ludo. Please see our album(celebrating our learning) to see some pictures.
