Through God’s love we learn together, grow together and achieve together.

 Dear Parents / Carers,

Good morning! We hope you all had a lovely break and are feeling refreshed and ready for the new half term. This half term, we are excited to continue our Bella Italia topic which will focus on different aspects of Italy, including physical geography, food and art. Our Guided Reading focus will be a poetry collection called All the Wild Wonders. Our new English unit is based on the film Aladdin. Please note that the film is PG-rated, and some lessons involve watching scenes from the film. We recommend parental supervision or permission from a trusted source before those lessons and will alert you to those lessons where this applies.

This week, the children will be learning about:

  • subtracting 3-digit numbers from 3-digit numbers using counting on and counting back

  • how to write the opening of a story, prefixes and different kinds of sentences

  • the offering of gifts and the Eucharistic Prayer

  • the location and physical geography of Italy

  • the life-cycle of a plant

Children will also have Guided Reading, Handwriting, PSHE, PE, Art, Music and Wellbeing activities.

Each week your child is invited to take part in a small group learning session. The dates and times of the groups this week are below.
