Year 4- Katherine Johnson
We made our own rockets and investigated how the angle affects how far they fly. We used straws to blow our rockets, and we aimed them up at 180 degrees, straight ahead at 90 degrees and diagonally up at 45 degrees. We decided that they flew furthest when aiming at 45 degrees, and discussed how the wind made it more difficult. We compared this to Katherine Johnson who needed to generate a great deal more force to launch a rocket and the rocket would have to fly in anti-gravity conditions.
