We at St Alban's relish the chance for our children to take part in and compete at a high level in a variety of sports.
We are currently members of the Harlow School Sports Partnership and have taken part in and won many events since joining 6 years ago. Recently we hosted a Football Tournament for Year 5 and 6 Boys football and then progressed to the Finals and won that tournament, making us the champions of Harlow!
Last year we were assessed on the Sainsbury's School Games Kitemark and achieved the Gold award for the second year running a feat of which we are extrememly proud. We will be trying to achieve this again this year and look forward to playing a wide range of sports on the way.
As extra-curricular sports clubs go we do provide a long list throughout the year including: football for Y1-6, tag rugby, rounders, karate for Key Stage one and two, multi-sports, netball, athletics and cricket. Each term the clubs vary, the children apply to the clubs that they would like to attend and then they try out their new sport in a small group with qualified teachers leading each activity.
We are proud to say that our children all enjoy sport and we provide a good level of teaching in all lessons giving the children the thirst to continue with their sporting endeavours.
