To celebrate the end of our learning of the Stone Age the children moulded, printed and created their own Stone Age necklaces and bracelets using quick drying clay and yarn. The children had been learning how the Stone Age people used rocks to chisel at the bones to make holes and even used the roots of plants such as nettles to create the rope which they tied around their necks or wrists. The children looked at images of archaeological finds to help them with their ideas to design and create their own jewellery. Once the clay was dry they then had the opportunity to paint them. Please click on Stone Age Jewellery to see what the children have created! What great work everyone!
